Description

“In a post-apocalyptic universe where two psychic siblings are trying to defeat zombies. These psychic siblings have different psychic powers, one has transportation while the other one has telekinesis. How long will they survive the horde of zombies?”

PSYNERGY is a cooperative survival game where there are 2 players act as the provider and the protector while being attacked by a horde of zombies.

The first player can dodge using the arrow keys or WASD keys, but he/she cannot attack the enemy. However, the second player works as a sniper to protect the first player by shooting the enemies using the mouse. But, the second player can only shoot bullets and stamina that are provided by the first player. The game is over when the first player loses all of its life or the second player loses all of its stamina.

Research

PSYNERGY is inspired from score-based arcade games.
Back then since I was 4, I got introduced to video games by my dad who was an avid game enthusiast. I played my dad's Atari console & played classic games like Frogger & Asteroids and later on I played more modern games at that time like Pokemon & Legend of Zelda for Gameboy.

Unlike other competitive games at the time, this game is cooperative. Each player are dependent on each other, implying that teamwork is the most important aspect of the game.

Mechanics-wise, this game adopts some of the elements from two classic arcade games: Asteroids and Duck Hunt.
